About Us

Lauren Hazbun is a student athlete attending Archbishop McCarthy High School. She is the Founder, President, and Team Director of Field of Dreams: Catholic Sportsmanship in Action Corp. Throughout her life, she found comfort in sports, especially in the hardest moments prior to and following surgeries. When Lauren was eight years old, she discovered her love for volleyball. She now wears the number 17 on her jersey, representing October 17, the day after she received the sacrament of Confirmation, which was also the day her tumor formed. In Hazbun’s first independent collection through her nonprofit, she collected an estimated one thousand dollars worth of sports equipment to support athletes of the Davie Police Athletic League. She hopes through her foundation and faith in God can give everyone the opportunity to feel the love and comfort of sports.
